Mobalytics Features Survey

Dear League of Legends players,

Welcome to our study on the use of Mobalytics' features! Your participation will contribute to the research on and design of such applications.

The study aims to investigate players across various expertise levels to gather insights into the preferences and needs of companion app users in regard to features of esports live companion apps and their practices of use. You are invited to rate features of this live companion app from four perspectives: knowledge sourcing, decision-making, understandability, and trustworthiness. The features will be introduced using a screenshot and short description. At the end of the questionnaire, there will be five open-ended questions and you then will be asked if you are willing to take part in our online interview. If you volunteer, we will use the provided email only for arranging the interview.

The study will take about 15 to 20 minutes to finish. All survey responses are anonymous and no personally identifiable information is gathered. If you optionally provide your email it will be used only for the purposes outlined below. On the next page, before being able to participate, you will need to provide your consent. We do not foresee any risk in participating in the study. The study is conducted by Letian Wang, a PhD student at JKU Linz, as a part of his PhD research. This research has been approved by the ethic committee of Johannes Kepler University Linz (Reference number: JKU EC-08-2024).

At the end of the study, you will have the chance to win one of four 25 EUR Amazon vouchers by providing us with your email (optional).

You may also opt-in to take part in a follow-up online interview (voice recorded, about one hour). Selected interviewees will be compensated with a 20 EUR Amazon Voucher.
